The relationship between Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn and Rebel pilot/General Hera Syndulla is one of the most intense rivalry pairngs in Star Wars Rebels. The two were immediately enemies when they encountered each other in "Hera's Heroes," after Thrawn stole her Kalikori from her. Despite being an enemy, Thrawn acted compliant and patient with Hera, seeing her as a worthy opponent while interrogating her and trying to expose her as one of the rebels. After being locked in a cell Thrawn promised to keep her family heir loom in a place of honor and thanked her for her "hospitality" considering the fact that the place they were in is actually her home.
