Force-Sensitives, also known as Force-users, Force wielders, or Force Adepts were individuals who, if they had a high enough midichlorian count, could control and connect with the Force, an unknown entity which bound all living things in the Galaxy. They came from any species. Notable Force-sensitives were the Jedi, who drew from the light side, and the Sith, who drew from the Dark. The Jedi Order took Force-sensitive children at a young age to start training them to become Jedi. However, some Force sensitive remained interested in neutrality, such as Darth Maul, Ahsoka Tano and Asajj Ventress. However, they remained align with their respective training but considered them neither Sith or Jedi.
Force sensitivity was generally inherited through family in the galaxy. Anakin passed this trait onto his and his wife Padmé Amidala's children, Luke and Leia and his grandson, Ben Solo. Rey Skywalke, inherited it from her paternal grandfather. Darth Sidious. However, an individual such as Ezra Bridger and Dhara Leonis picked up Force sensitivity while being born to normal parents.
Luke, Rey and Ezra remained unaware they had the Force for most of their lives until Obi-Wan, Kylo Ren and Kanan Jarrus informed them of their abilities.
A race such as the Chiss also had Force sensitivity; however, it would ultimately disappear when they grow older. A noticeable Force-sensitive Chiss was Thrawn's sister.

Trivia
- It is shown that if a non-Force Sensitive spends too much time with one, they will be mistaken for one too as the case with Jai Kell and Ezra Bridger.
- Of the four animated television series, Kaz from Resistance is the only protagonist to not be Force Sensitive.
